The Difference

Most Consultants
Have Never Run
a Business.

There is a version of business consulting that comes from people who studied businesses, advised businesses from the outside, and built careers talking about what businesses should do. That is not what this is.

Andrew Rape has been building and operating businesses since 2010. He has made payroll, hired and fired, survived a fire that burned his gym to the ground, rebuilt from scratch, launched new businesses, killed ones that did not work, and figured out what actually moves the needle — not in a case study, but in the real world, in Alabama, with real money on the line.

He currently operates CrossFit Trussville, The PHNX Collective, and Drip IV Therapy simultaneously — alongside running HRZN Media. He holds a Marketing degree from UAB's Collat School of Business, where he earned the MIDE Award and served as EVP of one of the top 20 AMA chapters in the country. He completed Two-Brain Business's elite Tinker Group mentor program.

When you sit across from Andrew in a consulting session, you are talking to someone who woke up this morning thinking about the same problems you have. That is a different conversation than what most consultants can offer.

The best advice comes from someone who has skin in the game — not someone who has observed it from the outside.
CrossFit TrussvilleFounded September 2008 — one of Alabama's longest-tenured affiliates

He Has Made the Mistakes
Sixteen years of business ownership means Andrew has made the expensive mistakes, recovered from them, and knows how to help you avoid them or recover faster. That is worth more than a hundred hours of theoretical advice.
He Understands Marketing as a Operator
Andrew has watched content campaigns succeed and fail with his own money. His marketing advice is not theoretical — it is informed by the experience of being on the business side of every dollar spent on content, ads, and brand.
He Is Running Multiple Businesses Right Now
Andrew is not a former business owner. He is an active one — managing multiple companies simultaneously. The problems you are dealing with are problems he is actively navigating. His advice is current, not retrospective.
He Will Tell You the Truth
Andrew does not tell clients what they want to hear. He tells them what they need to hear — even when it is uncomfortable. A consultant who validates bad ideas is not a consultant. Honest feedback delivered with respect is the whole point.

How It Works

Simple. Direct.
No Commitment Required.

Consulting with Andrew does not require a retainer, a long-term agreement, or a complicated onboarding process. You book a session, we meet, and you leave with clarity and a concrete next step.

Some clients come for a single session to work through a specific decision. Others come back regularly as a sounding board. Either works. There is no minimum engagement and no pressure to continue after your first session if it is not the right fit.

Sessions are conducted in person in Trussville or via video call for clients outside the Birmingham metro. Come with your most pressing problem — Andrew will be direct with you about what he thinks and why.

01
Book a Session
Tell us which consulting track fits your situation and a little about what you are working through. No lengthy intake form — just enough context for Andrew to show up prepared.
02
Pre-Session Brief
A short set of questions to get your situation on paper before the session. Andrew reviews it in advance so the hour is not spent on context — it is spent on solutions.
03
The Session
An hour of direct, focused conversation. Andrew will tell you what he thinks, ask hard questions, and push back where he disagrees. You leave with clarity, not more confusion.
04
Session Summary
A written summary of the key decisions, recommendations, and action items from the session — so the clarity you leave with does not fade by the time you get back to your desk.
05
Continue or Not
Some clients book one session and have what they need. Others come back monthly. No pressure either way. The relationship continues only if it is genuinely valuable to you.
Who This Is For

Built for Operators,
Not Observers.

Small Business Owners
Owners running $500K–$5M businesses who need a straight-talking advisor with real operational experience — not a coach who has never signed the front of a paycheck.
New Business Founders
First-time founders who want to avoid the expensive mistakes and make informed decisions about positioning, pricing, marketing, and operations from the start.
Marketing Decision Makers
Business owners and marketing leads who need to make smarter decisions about where their content and marketing dollars go — and what they actually need to accomplish to justify the spend.
Fitness & Wellness Operators
Gym owners, studio operators, and wellness businesses navigating the specific challenges of the fitness industry — Andrew has run CrossFit Trussville since 2008 and CrossFit Pell City from 2017–2020.
Brands Building In-House Video
Marketing teams and content creators building internal video production capability who want guidance on gear, workflow, content strategy, and how to produce at a level that actually moves the needle.
Businesses at an Inflection Point
Companies facing a specific decision — a new location, a rebrand, a hire, a pivot — where getting an outside perspective from someone who has navigated similar decisions could change the outcome.
Honest About the Fit

This Is Not for
Everyone.

Andrew is direct. He will tell you things you may not want to hear. He will push back on decisions he thinks are wrong. He will not validate a bad strategy to keep you comfortable.

If you are looking for someone to tell you your existing plan is great, this is the wrong consulting relationship. If you want honest, experienced, direct guidance — it is exactly the right one.

Businesses looking for validation rather than honest assessment of what needs to change
Owners who want a consultant to do the work for them rather than helping them think more clearly
Large enterprises or corporations — this consulting is built for small-to-medium owner-operated businesses
Anyone looking for a passive relationship — sessions require your active participation and honest disclosure of what is actually happening in the business
Common Questions

FAQ

How much does a consulting session cost?
Session rates vary by track and duration. We do not publish set pricing because scope and session length are discussed upfront — what a single business strategy session costs is different from an ongoing engagement. Reach out and we will give you a straight number before you commit to anything.
How long is a typical session?
Standard sessions are 60–90 minutes. For complex situations or clients working through multiple areas, half-day sessions are available. The right length depends on what you are working through — we scope it before you book.
Is this in-person or virtual?
Both are available. In-person sessions take place in Trussville, Alabama. Virtual sessions are conducted via video call for clients in other markets. Either format works equally well for all three consulting tracks.
Can I book a one-time session without a long-term commitment?
Yes. There is no minimum engagement. Some clients book a single session to work through a specific decision and never need to come back. Others return regularly. The relationship continues only as long as it is genuinely useful to you.
Is the consulting confidential?
Yes. Everything discussed in a consulting session stays between you and Andrew. We do not share client information, business details, or session content with third parties. A mutual NDA is available for clients who require it.
What industries does Andrew have experience in?
Fitness and wellness, healthcare (IV therapy, medical services), event venues and hospitality, creative agencies, real estate investment, and general small business operations across the Birmingham metro. If your industry is not listed, reach out — experience with adjacent industries often provides more useful perspective than someone who only knows your specific vertical.
