Wedding photography and videography is the only creative work where there is no second take. The ceremony happens once. The first look happens once. The moment your grandmother cries in the third row happens once — and if the camera is not in the right place at the right time with the right settings, it is gone forever.
That responsibility shapes everything about how we work. We plan obsessively before the day so we can be present on it. We know the timeline, the locations, the light at each hour, and the moments most likely to be fleeting. We show up with redundant equipment, redundant cards, and a clear-eyed understanding of what matters most to you.
We are not a wedding factory. We take a limited number of weddings each year because we believe every couple deserves the same level of attention and craftsmanship. You are not a line item in a production calendar — you are the reason we are there.
We document the day as it actually is — not as a performance staged for the camera.
Storytelling First
A wedding film is not a highlight reel of pretty shots — it is a story with a beginning, middle, and end. Every edit decision is made in service of that story, not in service of showing off our gear or technique.
Obsessive Preparation
We visit venues in advance when possible, review timelines carefully, coordinate with your planner, and map the light at every key location and time. The day runs smoothly because the preparation is thorough — not because we got lucky.
Unobtrusive Presence
We are there to document your day — not to direct it. We move quietly, stay out of the way of your guests, and capture what is actually happening rather than manufacturing moments for the camera. You should barely notice us.
Aerial When It Serves the Story
FAA Part 107 certified drone capability available for outdoor ceremonies, venues with compelling aerial context, or couples who want that establishing shot that puts their day in the landscape. Not every wedding needs it — but when it does, we have it.

If you choose to do a first look — the moment one of you turns around and sees the other for the first time in wedding attire. Photographed and filmed from multiple angles so nothing is missed.
Ceremony
The processional, the vows, the ring exchange, the kiss, the recessional. The whole ceremony documented in full — every angle, every reaction in the audience, every moment at the altar.
Portraits & Formals
Wedding party portraits, family formals, and couple portraits — efficiently photographed so they do not consume the whole day, and beautifully lit so every image is something you will actually want to frame.
Reception

Inquiry & Date Hold
Reach out with your wedding date and location. We confirm availability and hold your date with a deposit. We take a limited number of weddings per year — if your date is available, do not wait.

Planning Call
A call several weeks before the wedding to review your timeline in detail, discuss your must-have moments, coordinate with your planner, and answer every question you have about the day.

Your Wedding Day
We arrive early, stay late, and document everything in between. You focus on getting married. We handle the rest — quietly, professionally, and completely out of your way.

Delivery
Photos delivered in 3–4 weeks via private gallery. Films delivered in 8–10 weeks. Everything organized, labeled, and ready to download, share, and keep forever.
Common Questions
FAQ
How far in advance should we book?
As early as possible — we take a limited number of weddings per year and popular dates book 12–18 months in advance. If your date is within the next few months, reach out anyway. We will tell you honestly whether we are available and what the options are.
Do you travel for destination weddings?
Yes. We are based in Trussville and serve couples throughout Alabama — Birmingham, Huntsville, Montgomery, the Gulf Coast, and everywhere in between. We travel nationally for destination weddings. Travel fees apply for weddings outside the Birmingham metro and are outlined clearly in your proposal.
Can we customize a package?
Yes. Our packages are starting points, not rigid boxes. If you want photo coverage only for the ceremony and portraits, or video without the full feature film, or drone added to a photo-only package — we scope it to what you actually need and price it accordingly.
What happens if it rains?
We shoot in the rain. We have rain covers for our gear, and honestly — some of the most beautiful wedding photos happen in overcast or rainy conditions. We work with whatever the day gives us and have never let weather ruin a set of deliverables.
Can we select the music for our film?
Yes. We work with you on music selection for your films and source licensed tracks that match the tone and feel you want. We do not use unlicensed music — your films need to be shareable and playable everywhere without being flagged or taken down.
Do we own our photos and video?
You receive full personal usage rights to all final delivered images and films. You can print, share, post, and use them however you like, for personal use, forever. HRZN Media retains the right to use the work in our portfolio and marketing unless you request otherwise — which we fully accommodate.
